Nancy June Hollis was born in 1938 and has lived her whole life in Dapto, moving only a matter of meters from her family home after marrying Fred Hollis in 1964. In this interview Nancy speaks of her family life, school, and the challenges of her poor health during childhood. She recalls the memorable outcome of a plane crash during the war years, the lack of transport and long working hours for her father and others in the Dapto area, recounting the importance of buses and bicycles during that time.
