Jan Waples talks extensively about changes within the Wollongong Council departments and their various locations, immunization programs, the Wollongong Town Hall organ, and the Queen’s visit to Wollongong. Jan was a trainee for five years and became Health & Building Inspector in 1959. By 1975, Jan was appointed City Chief Health Surveyor and Principal Building Surveyor.
