Mavis Stevenson

Mavis Doreen Stevenson was born in Corrimal on 29 May 1921 and was brought to the ‘Moorland’ dairy farm in Avondale while only 3 months old. She recalls her childhood in rural Avondale and her years in the one room Avondale Public School. Mavis is a local legend who was a keen horsewoman during her younger days and is a lifelong member of the Dapto CWA.
