Sally Kelly lived in her family’s Bonnie Vale shack for two years in the mid-1970s. She later enjoyed the freedom of spending many holidays there and being part of the community of people occupying some 300 cabins. Sally revelled in swimming, bike riding, surfing, fishing, and prawning with friends and cared for the pets when they were no longer allowed. Although she now lives close by, Sally still visits Bonnie Vale with her grandchildren.
