The Illawarra’s beautiful beaches and escarpment views have long made it a popular place for holidays. Before most people owned cameras or phones, postcards were a way they could preserve their memories and share images with their friends.
This exhibition presents images from postcards in Wollongong City Libraries collection. They can be viewed at
Wollongong Library from 3rd March – 30th May.
Some of the original postcards will be on display at Wollongong Library and free copies of a selection of the postcards will be available at all library branches.
