There are two categories of copyright on the recordings of Illawarra Stories.
1. Interviews with this logo 
( Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License) allows others to share and adapt these interviews even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit the interviewer and Wollongong City Libraries and license their new creations under the identical terms. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
2. For all interviews without this logo, it is understood that the interviewees retain copyright of their interviews, but Wollongong City Libraries has the right to
- Hold the recordings in their collection
- Provide online access to the recording/s or parts of the recordings in a digital format via their catalogue and/or website.
You may download these recordings for your personal or non-commercial use. Anyone wanting to edit, reproduce, publish (print or online), broadcast, transmit, perform or adapt the interview must get written permission from the interviewee first.
