Albert Negrine was born in 1928 in Egypt to a Jewish family. He studied at Alexandria University for a BSc. He needed to flee the country in 1957 due to pollical unrest. Albert worked at Metal Manufacturers Ltd at Port Kembla and rose to become manager where he streamlined production and increased productivity. He then worked as a financial advisor. He was involved in community service in squash, Rotary and the Scout movement.
