Arthur Smith worked hard to study and pursue his career as a pharmacist. He was one of the first pharmacists at Wollongong Hospital and he owned a pharmacy in Thirroul from the early 1960’s for many years. His three children Douglas, Gabrielle and Adrian followed in his footsteps working as pharmacists in Smith’s Pharmacy Thirroul which has moved to several locations over the years. Arthur tells of his life and the history of Smith’s Pharmacy in Thirroul and how medicine has changed over the years.
