Carol North was 99 years old at the time of the interview and had lived in Coledale since 1949, a couple of years after she married Ken. Carol shares great memories of life in the Illawarra as well as interesting experiences during her service in the Royal Australian Air Force in the early 1940’s. Carol is well known in the Northern Illawarra and could be seen jogging or walking between Coledale and Austinmer Pool, where she swam daily.
