Paul Tuckerman and his father were employed by NSW State Rail all their working lives. Paul was instrumental in saving the hall from demolition and is a member of the Thirroul Railway Institute Preservation Society (TRIPS), which helped restore the hall and manages its use. The Society has a program of events to celebrate the hall’s centenary in 2020.
