Graham came to the Illawarra to work as an electrician for the County Council. After 25 years he trained as a farrier and shoed horses in the area including the last of the pit ponies at Nebo Mine. He is also a sculptor and motorcross rider. He initiated the and worked to construct the Mt Kembla Memorial Pathway and the Mt Kembla Motorcross Track.
