Gunter was born in Austria and migrated to Australia as a young man. He worked in the building industry and then bought Molloy’s Timber in 1975. He developed a thriving timber supplies and cabinet making business which he ran until 2013. He also taught cabinet making classes which were very popular for 20 years.
