John explains how Mission to Seafarers gives wholistic pastoral care and services to seafarers who we depend to bring goods to Australia. This international humanitarian service is run by staff and volunteers from the Illawarra area. There are 1.9 million seafarers at sea at any one time, and many seafarers are away from their families for up to nine months of the year.
