Peter Snodgrass talks about the Thirroul Men’s Shed, which was established in 2010. Initial meetings were held at the Thirroul Bowling, Leagues and Recreation Club and the Men’s Shed purchased a small garden shed to store some tools and a work bench. Membership soon grew and in March 2011 the use of a large garage in the residential area of Redman Avenue was secured on a rental basis. Finally, in 2016 the Men’s Shed was able to lease a vacated workshop at the former Thirroul Railway Depot.
