Bob Marshall first visited Bulgo as a seven-year-old in 1936 and continued to holiday there until he was in his eighties. He remembers building huts and bringing materials and equipment down the steep path, and how he helped to carry bodies out after the deaths of three adults at different times. Bob enjoyed fishing, swimming, and crabbing and has seen the huts develop from simple shacks to homely cabins with solar power.
