Kate Balding is the president of Coledale Surf Life Saving Club. She discusses the function, activities, training and organisational structure of the club, their Nippers program, and the history of the surf club building. Kate observes how the club has changed since she became a member as a five-year-old in the 1980’s, particularly in relation to the involvement of women both within the organisation and in New South Wales surf life saving as a whole.
